TOM'S TRACK FRAME
A fillet-brazed track frame for Tom. A shaped Dedacciai
downtube, Columbus "I" top-tube, weighs 1.79kg unpainted for
a 55cm 5º sloping top-tube frame. Tom wanted a frame to ride on
the road and race on the track. Shaped tubes can be tricky to scallop
or mitre the ends, but were no problem with my tube-mitreing machine.
Stainless facets on the Pacenti track-ends protect the paint during rear
wheel removal, finished in 2-pack gloss metallic black (the light corrosion
visible on the tubes was cleaned before brazing ;) ). Frame weighs 1.83kg
painted.
