RONASAUR'S MESSENGER SPECIAL; ONE YEAR ONRon's frame after one year's use; it's been in one crash and still wears the blue paint from that car's number plate and Ron hasn't managed to break it..... You can ask for this clear powdercoat finish but I wont recommend it: it'll start to corrode like this after only a month: this sort of corrosion isn't good for a frame but corrosion isn't likely to be the way this frame ends its life......... My frames are treated inside with a corrosion preventer, and as with any high-end frame if well-cared for* corrosion of the steel will not be the problem it is sometimes made out to be. (* dry your bike and tip water out of the seat-tube after a wet ride. Not only steel reacts to moisture: titanium frames accelerate the corrosion of the bike components, particularly aluminium, while small scratches in the clear-coat of for carbon fibre can also lead to problems). In practice, all these are not a major problem for a well cared for bike.
