This 29er is huge, a 23″ frame sizing for a big guy who is 6’6″ in the old measure…. I promised the customer the pleasures of the latest 29er geometry, including ‘proper’ short chainstays.

The frame still manages to fit the Humungous 2.25 Schwalbe  tyres  and with this gear combination also pretty much hits the magic 430mm short chainstay dimension that is so essential on a mountainbike yet doesn’t really seem to make it onto 29ers with their ‘short’ 445mm chainstays . Why? Because it’s bl00dy difficult!  But worth the effort. It also sports a 44mm headtube which enables the use of a tapered steerer fork.

This is the first viewing of my swinger dropouts with their  frame component laser-cut from stainless-steel. I developed them with Scott of Symes Cycles. He’s also a Professional Engineer and we’ve developed these adjustable dropouts do everything … belt-drive split, derailleur hanger, Rohloff long-slot on the left-side, disc or non-disc left side dropout and rack/mudguard mounts. All for less weight and/or less torque load on the stays than any of the mainstream slider options, none of which tick all the boxes the way these do. Paint by Aaron, Total Bike Paint
