Jean's Road frame and forks; made to a Steve Hogg design
Jean wrote his own bit.....
"I was looking for a road race bike for the daily commuting and
also for the weekend ride. I also wanted an Australian made bicycle with
local components where possible. I decided to get a proper bike fit and
was recommended to visit Steve Hogg of CycleFitCentre.com. Steve is widely
acknowledged as an authority on rider positioning and is a regular columnist
with Australia's leading cycling magazine. The resulting design, a copy
of which is shown below, was emailed to me. Steve incorporated my usual
seat-tube and head-tube details in his design. Here it was created with
Columbus Zona frame-tubing and Columbus road-unicrown fork blades. The
frame colour is Holden HJ GTS Mandarin Red. The wheels where built by
a specialist local Wheelbuilder, Greg Ryan, of Two Wheels Enterprises:
double butted 24-spoke 2-cross front and 28-spoke 3 & 2 cross rear for
a hard-wearing daily commute.
Nothing compares to choosing all the components and details of your new
bike. I am 100% satisfied with the process and end result and would recommend
Ewen's work. Ewen’s knowledge and eye for detail can be seen in the end
result. Quality takes time, but is definitely worth the wait. Steel is
Real.”
Nice! Made my day.
